Replacing Your Engine On A Scott Bonnar Reel Mower

Replacing Your Engine On A Scott Bonnar Reel Mower

The Scott Bonnar Reel Mower range, is still considered one the best mowers for a low, clean and high quality cut. You can definitely identify a lawn that has been cut with a Scott Bonnar Reel Mower.

One of the most common questions we get, is what engine would be a suitable replacement option for the 430 and 450 series models.

The new Briggs & Stratton 3.5 Horsepower 550 Series Horizontal Shaft Engine, would be the most suitable replacement, as it has the same shaft and mountings to bolt straight on.

The Briggs & Stratton powerful 550 Series petrol engine utilizes (OHV) overhead valve design technology. It features an automotive style air filter, cast iron cylinder sleeve, and dual bearings for longer life.

Briggs & Stratton's great reputation for easy starting and superb reliability, make the 550 Series the ideal replacement engine for your Scott Bonnar Reel Mower.

I Have just purchased a Scott&Bonnar mower with a Kirby motor H4-4A.
