We find that many ride on mowers that have been fitted with single cylinder Kohler engines, will operate an electric clutch.
If you have an electric clutch in your mower, you will need to buy a replacement engine with a 15 amp charging system. Most standard engines will have 9 amp charging systems, which would not be sufficient to operate an electric clutch.
The new Briggs 19HP Pro Series engine is now available from Small Engine Warehouse Australia with 16 amp charge circuit.
This engine will be a suitable replacement option, for Kohler single cylinder engines of similar horsepower, that will need to operate an electric clutch.
There are a few factors that will need to be taken into consideration when changing brands. The wiring, muffler location, shaft and engine dimensions may all be different to your current engine. You will need to determine whether a change over will be possible, taking these factors into account.
Once you have determined the engine will fit and you do indeed require an engine with higher charge, then look no further the Briggs 19HP Pro Series with 16 Amp Charge Circuit.
The Briggs & Stratton Pro Series delivers top reliability, performance and durability to meet the demands of professionals.
