Q: Hi, I'm looking for a replacement for my Briggs and Stratton 500cc 16.5 gross HP INTEK with XRD . Currently it is burning too much oil. It is ftted to a Husquana zero turn , 30inch cut ride on.Is this a straight changeover? ie are the bolt holes/engine mounts the same, is the shaft the same dia, key size and length? iIf not, do you have an engine which I can swap straight over?RegardsSteve

A: The new Briggs 17.5HP Pro Series engine will be your new replacement option, it will have the same shaft and mountings. Being a Husqvarna ride on, you will need to check the dimensions of this new engine, if there was a limited amount of room around your old engine to make sure this new engine will fit in.
